Description

This dot matrix LED 8×8 display module allows user to experiment with dot matrix LED’s without all the complicated wiring and display any numbers and characters on it through programming. This module used MAX7219 chip of serial matrix LED driver which controls the 8×8 red LEDs and drive them at the correct currents. It comes with 5 pins to be interfaced with microcontroller, which are the VCC, GND, DIN (data in), CS (load) and CLK (clock). It consist of input and output interface to be connected to the microcontroller and cascaded out with multiple dot matrix LED 8×8 display module to make larger LED displays.
