Widely used active buzzer that only emit alarming sound when powered.

Active type buzzer has built-in resonator for alarm tone, thus it cannot be used to generate variable tone like passive type buzzer does. Active buzzer or passive buzzer type can be distinguished by the look of its bottom, active buzzer bottom is filled with epoxy to seal the resonator circuit while passive buzzer bottom is exposed.
