MH Sensor Series

This is an easy to use sensor module you can use to sense fire or infrared light source. A burning flame produces infrared light (range around 760 – 1100nm) and the photodiode in front of the module is sensitive to this type of wavelength. You can use this module to sense the intensity of infrared light too.? You can also use this module to receive infrared signal from remote controller. (Therefore if you point a remote controller to this sensor, it might cause false trigger :P)

Note : this sensor can works in both analog and digital mode. You can connect the analog output (AO) pin to Arduino to read the intensity of infrared light, or digital output (DO) to sense the threshold of infrared light intensity. Adjust the potentiometer (a.k.a. trimmer) to set the digital output (DO) sensitivity.
